Visible surface roots running off the stump are ground out too, so you're not left with lumps across the lawn.
Services check
We check for underground pipes and cables (Before You Dig Australia) before grinding near them.
Clean-up
Grindings are raked back into the hole, left for you as garden mulch, or taken away with our trailer — your choice.
Backfill & level
Need it ready for turf? We can backfill with soil and level the area.

Tree Stump Removal FAQs
Do I need approval to remove a stump in Canberra?+
If the tree has already been cut down, removing the stump generally doesn't need approval. If the tree is still standing, it may be protected under the ACT's tree protection laws, so check with the ACT Government before it's removed.
How deep do you grind?+
Below ground level and deep enough to lay turf or replant. If you're planning paving, a slab or a garden bed in that spot, tell us and we'll grind deeper.
Will the tree grow back?+
Most trees won't regrow once the stump is ground out. A few vigorous species can send up shoots from roots left in the ground; these can simply be cut back as they appear.
What happens to the grindings?+
Your choice: raked back into the hole, left as mulch for your garden, or taken away in our trailer.
Can you get to stumps in a backyard?+
Usually, yes. Tell us the narrowest point of the access path or gate when you send photos, so we bring the right setup.
Do you cut down trees too?+
We focus on stumps and garden clean-ups. Felling standing trees is a job for a qualified arborist, and we're happy to point you to one.
